The new student body gathers for Chapel

The fall semester is underway

After a brief resting period at the end of our summer, things are back in full motion at GrBC as students finished their first couple weeks of classes.
We have a full student body, and we have been blessed to get to know them at the kick-off retreat that took place last weekend. This is one of our favorite times, hearing the testimonies of the new students, how God has been working in their lives, and how they decided to come to the College.

A few weeks ago, we were blessed by three professional librarians from overseas who offered to come and help us for about 10 days. These librarians had access to several other libraries’ databases which allowed them to rapidly catalog a 1,000 volume collection that was recently donated to the College by a retired Old Testament professor from Cambridge. We are planning to use this link to enhance our current database and to help us switch to the Library of Congress Classification System.

All this library jargon may sound foreign and somewhat irrelevant; however these library improvements are crucial to maintain our accreditation status as a recognized college. This also helps us better serve our students, professors and our alumni who serve as pastors and ministry workers all over Greece.

Our volunteer librarians

Seeing God working in the Greek context, we feel humbled with the privilege of playing a role in this work that utilizes the gifts and talents we’ve been given. We thank you once again for your vital role in supporting us to serve in such a position. We continue to covet your prayers as we begin our third year of serving at the Greek Bible College.

Summer in Greece

The following pictures show some of our favorite snapshots of sites we saw this summer while hosting visitors, including our sister Morgan. We're trying to tempt you to come and visit us yourselves! We'd love to welcome you, introduce you to life at the Greek Bible College, and show you a bit of the beauty of Greece. Enjoy!

  • Pray for all of our new and returning students, especially as many of them are taking a significant step of faith by coming to GrBC, trusting that God will provide for their tuition fees. As you pray, if you are led to help support our student scholarship fund, please follow this link to "Adopt-a-student."
  • Pray for the building / zoning situation that we began informing you of in our previous newsletter. A few major developments are in the works, so please stayed tuned when next month we inform you of the opportunity you have to help our college in this situation.
