Congratulations GrBC Graduates!

June 2014

The property has been purchased!

We have exciting news! On May 14, 2014, we at the Greek Bible College were able to purchase the property next door! Throughout this school year we have been sharing with you our urgent need to move our classrooms to a different location because of the legal complication with Greek zoning laws. This month we were able to celebrate outside at the new property site, dedicating this land purchase to the Lord, and remembering His faithfulness to the college throughout the past thirty plus years. Please pray with us as we are now raising funds for building on this new land!

GrBC Graduation

We also just celebrated the 32nd Greek Bible College Graduation! Many friends of the college were present, including the previous owner of our newly acquired property who is not a believer. Pavlos was in charge of the Live Video Streaming which was watched by people from Greece, United States, United Kingdom, Cyprus, Germany, and Canada, and Meggan served by playing piano for the hymns and then helping out with the annual book sale that we do in order to raise money for further developing our library. Speaking of the library, it has been progressing forward by leaps and bounds again as our professional librarian volunteers spent a few weeks with us this May. They were able to help Meg re-catalog the entire English Reference section and coach our Greek cataloger in continuing her work with the Greek books.

Church plant in Kypseli

Pavlos recently had the chance to lead two weekly Bible studies related to the church plant in Kypseli. One of the locals who attends both of them keeps asking us to meet more than twice a week. God has been working in him and his family, and we pray that he will soon make the decision to follow Christ! Also, people from the different Bible studies that take place in the area have started biweekly meetings in order to get to know each other, share ways of how to further reach people in the neighborhood during the summer, and develop the vision for a future local church.

Our expanding family

Needless to say, we’re also getting excited to meet our son, who has been making his presence known doing gymnastics in Meg’s tummy. This past month also included special celebrations in honor of our little man’s arrival, as two baby showers were thrown for us. What a blessing to rejoice together with loving friends and family and pray for this coming new life!

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Prayer Praises & Requests
  • Praise the Lord with us for all that we shared in this newsletter. There are so many reasons to give thanks!
  • Pray for our students leaving the college to begin their work with various summer ministry commitments. Many will be helping at camps and some will be traveling abroad, such as one group going to work with an orphanage in Tanzania.
  • Please keep Meggan and our baby’s health in your prayers these last months of pregnancy. So far things have been looking good. Praise the Lord!  Pray for peace in preparing to be parents.  And also pray for peace and safety during the labor and delivery process.
